Shamsullah, an ARAP case holder, has been living in the UK for the last three years. He recently received an update from USPUK regarding the government's decision to digitise immigration documents. However, as he planned to travel outside the UK, he became confused about whether he could return. Someone had incorrectly advised him not to leave because his Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) had expired, suggesting that the UK government might not allow him to return.

Concerned about this, Shamsullah turned to USPUK for advice. After reviewing the government's decision, we reassured him that his BRP is still valid until the end of 2024. This meant he could safely travel out of and return to the UK without any issues. We also informed him that he simply needs to wait for an email from the Home Office, which will instruct him to create an account and generate his digital immigration documents, linking them online.
